The third largest resort in Ibiza, Santa Eulalia
is, as the perfect family resort, a great example of 'the other side
of Ibiza'. Anyone looking for a quiet Ibiza holiday or lifestyle,
away from the busier, noisier resorts, will love Santa Eulalia. A
very cultured, Bohemian centre, Santa Eulalia is situated on the east
coast of Ibiza between Cala Llonga to the south and Es Cana to the
north, edged by a golden beach and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Life is lived at a gentle pace here, and that perfectly suits the
writers, artists, musicians, maverick thinkers and hippies that have
traditionally been drawn to settle in Santa Eulalia. One consequence
is that the resort is heavy on art galleries and shops selling the
work of local talent; another is the excellent, highly atmospheric
hippie market that takes place each Wednesday.
Santa Eulalia is a very attractive, spotlessly clean resort that is
enjoying sustained, substantial local investment in the name of tourism
that has seen the creation of a gorgeous beachfront promenade, a magnificent
marina and many tourist facilities over the last few years. The resort
is also blessed with good, though low-key nightlife; fine shopping
and a wide selection of restaurants that has seen Santa Eulalia earn
a deserved reputation as the gastronomic capital of Ibiza. The 'Street
of Restaurants' is Calle San Vicente, which comes alive at night with
wandering minstrels serenading alfresco diners to create a magical
Mediterranean scene.
Santa Eulalia is certainly an upmarket resort destination, and in
keeping with the accompanying air of exclusivity, this can be reflected
in property prices. However, you get what you pay for, and some of

superb value in comparison with many European property markets. If
