escape2balearics.co.uk was established in 2001 to cater specifically
for people looking to buy property in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza.
The website was launched just 18 months after our sister websites
escapetospain.co.uk
and escape2usa.co.uk. All
enquiries are handled initially from our base in Manchester, where
our experienced and knowledgable staff are happy to offer their expert
advice on buying property in the Balearics. All the properties listed
for sale in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza are sourced through our network
of trusted partner agents and developers throughtout the Balearics
Islands. We update our website every week to ensure we are NOT one
of those websites where every property was sold 3 years ago!
Over the years we have established strong working relationships with
a number of estate agents in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza and also
work closely with leading property developers in Mallorca such as
Taylor Woodrow and TM Real Estate. Because we are independent we pride
ourselves in offering our clients a total service and are happy to
show clients any properties they wish to see.
We are passionate about the Balearics Islands and know each of the
islands very well - buying a property in the Balearics is a big decision
and we are here to offer our expertise every step of the way, from
your initial enquiry through to legal completion on your property.
Building regulations are very strict in the Balearics, and the local
government are very keen to protect the islands and avoid over-development
which has occurred on some areas of mainland Spain. This is great
news for property owners, as prices and rental yields in the Balearics
are amongst the highest in Spain.
Our Staff

Our Balearics property advisor is Paul McMullen. Paul has an
in-depth knowledge of all the islands and has managed the escape2balearics
website since 2002. Having lived in Barcelona, Paul joined our
sister website escapetospain to cover the Costa Brava area in
2001 and was instrumental in establishing the Balearics website
the following year.
Paul is a regular contributor to overseas property articles
in the UK national press including the Independent, Daily Telegraph,
Sunday Mirror, Daily Mail as well as many of the specialist
overseas property magazines and overseas property websites.
